“ACOUSTIC GARDEN”
DURAZZI MILANO invites you into a transformative journey with its Fall/Winter 2025 collection, “Acoustic Gardens.” This immersive experience transcends fashion, merging tactile and sensory exploration, inspired by Krautrock, cosmic music, sound art, and industrial architecture. The spirit of Maryanne Amacher’s work in sound spatialization deeply influences the collection, creating an atmosphere where fabric becomes more than a visual medium.
The collection is brought to life in the brand’s headquarters—a repurposed industrial space now overtaken by nature. Loudspeakers, embedded in totemic compositions, resonate alongside raw materials like stones, plants, glass, and carpets, acting as sound diffusers in a setting where art and nature blend seamlessly.
The space is transformed into a recording studio, a platform for female musicians to perform and experiment with sounds, embarking on a inner journey toward the infinite cosmos. Evocative instruments, including bass guitars, synthesizers, and tambourines, blend with organic sounds, meeting the ethereal allure of music.
Enveloped by grey desaturated carpets and overtaken by untamed flora, the space serves as the canvas for a multisensory experience.
From handcrafted patchwork dresses made from carpet fabrics to abstract leather cut-outs, each piece tells a story of sensory exploration. Raw edges, unfinished hems, and hand-applied detailing celebrate imperfection, while the garments take on fluid, cocoon-like shapes inspired by weaving and tapestry. Bomber jackets, draped skirts, and loose-fitting coats evoke a sense of freedom and individuality, where the unfinished becomes a symbol of uniqueness.
The tailoring balances minimalist lines with rich textures, as seen in military-inspired wool coats and ethereal transparent muslin shirts. Kilt skirts and mixed checkered fabrics merge pinstripes, wool flannel, natural horsehair, and graphic poplin. Maxi coats in double-faced wool and cashmere provide warmth and tactile depth, while abstract floral motifs, cut from carpets, are embroidered onto knitwear, blending shape and color.
The color palette of deep grays, blacks, and forest greens reflects nature’s raw beauty in winter, reinforcing the connection between sound and design. True to its DNA, DURAZZI MILANO’s equestrian influence is evident in leather details, oversized branded buckles, and hardware reminiscent of horse bridles. Signature pieces like riding boots, the ‘besace’ bag, and the “cavalry” tote bag are reinterpreted with innovative materials such as checked cashmere tapestry and cut-out leather.
The sculptural footwear—ranging from chunky moccasins to draped hunting boots and sleek ballerina-pointe heels—reinforces the brand’s distinct accessory identity. As sound fills the space, the garments seem to echo with a life of their own, creating an immersive dialogue between fabric, emotion, and environment.
Design and experience merge, allowing each piece to exist not only as clothing but as part of a sensory symphony—where boundaries fade and transformation takes form. DURAZZI MILANO, a symbol of Italian craftsmanship, continues to push the boundaries of contemporary fashion, embodying timeless luxury, self-expression, and empowerment.
